We fished for a few hours yesterday and actually saw a ton of fish but for some reason the majority of the fish had lock jaw and wanted to do nothing but sun themselves since the weather was so nice. Water temp was in the low 50's. We ended up catching a few and one 30" fish at 8.0lbs. Sorry the pic wasnt closer but had a rookie pic taker LOL...

Actually put her back in. Lately almost every 24"-26" fish we have cleaned have been full of eggs. I have noticed alot of the spots we have been fishing the amount of fish have gone down. They have been gill netting some of the areas we have been fishing. I for one would like to see some of the fish have a good spawn so we have fish in the future. I think we as fisherman we have been putting a dent in the number of 20-26" fish her lately. I think if we dont put these 30" fish back how are we ever going to get 35-40" fish. I am starting to have a freezer full of fish so dont need to keep as many as i did, but will still be keeping those smaller ones...

Excellent philosophy Craig. I say we draw the line at the 28" mark. If it's 28 or bigger, throw it back. I it's under, eat it or give it to someone that will. We brought home 11 hammer handles a couple weeks ago. That's 11 more than I kept all last year. Happy Fishing

Thanks for the report. Nice looking northern, your photos also typically have the nice back drop too. I'm headed over there in a few days and fishing the PO,CD'A and chains. I might be able to attend your club's meeting on Tuesday. Sounds like you have some really good folks in there, would love to bs with you all sometime. Just watched Mike's video, very cool. Sorry about the couple long distance releases,I've been there to many times
