Hit the River Friday afternoon with Kevin B. The water level is WAY up. There were spots I couldn't even get the boat into in April that are now under 9+ feet of water. It started out slow for the first hour or so only seeing two fish follow with not much interest, only to turn around and give the fin at the boat. We decided to hit a new spot, and after 20 or so minutes there the action started to pick up a bit. We eventually boated 6 Pike and lost a few more, most in the lower to mid 20's. For the most part the weather was great, main river was in the mid 50's and we found water up to 68 degrees in one area.

Usually the Pike are really agressive and when they hit you know it. These fish were not commiting at all though. You would just feel light taps on your lure and you'd have to set the hook immedietally or they were gone.

It was a fun trip, and it's always nice to meet and fish with new people.
