Hit the river on Saturday and Sunday. Let's just say it was pretty slow, literally. The no wake zone really makes it rough getting from spot to spot. Sunday was definitely the better day but it was still nothing to write home about. Fishing is tough with the water rising so much every day, and the water temps dropping significantly over the last week.

We did manage a few fish though, with the highlight being the wife catching her first Pike! It was fun and the weather held up much better than expected!

Nice job getting the Mrs. her first northern, hopefully the river levels begin to taper off a bit, tempting to fish the tourney next weekend but probably a no go for me. I'll give you a call later. Thanks for the report and again, nice job

Congrats on getting a few fish this weekend Mark tell the wife congrats on her fish...Cant wait for the river to go down LOL...I hope all the guys who are still running the river on plane get whats coming to them a nice big fat ticket...Please everyone follow the rules, there put on the river to protect not only the land owners but also the boaters. There is floating logs and other stuff all over right now cause of the rising water...Good luck fishing everyone

Yeah, we were way back in the trees and bushes. It's looking pretty bad out there. A lot of the sloughs aren't really sloughs anymore either. The rivers so high you can just motor over the bank and through the trees to get where you're going. And like Craig said there are trees and other junk floating all over that river. I Wouldn't be surprised to see a few docks soon either, I seen one Sunday that only had about 6 inches left until it floated off it's pilings.
