My grandson pried me to take him fishing in the evening after school. It has been years since I have fished for Steelhead. Things have just changed in my life so these old hands just can't tie knots like I used to when I had more steam and energy. I know of a few spots to plunk and headed there. Just like it was good for me ten years ago it was good tonight. Two oz weight and orange spin and glow with sand shrimp. It was about a few minutes before I notice my grandsons rod started doing something then it buckled. My grandson is six so when I set the hook and gave him the rod his eyes and small arms had a little tough go at this fish. Anyways long story short, he finally drug the fish to the shore. I'd guess and mind you I am old, so his fish pushed eight pounds.
