Drove out to Lewis river hatchery and plunked with jig and eggs for few hours. Saw three boats with no fish. Saw about 8 fishermen total with no fish. I stayed there for about 2 hours, fished on the northwest side of the bank. closer to evening time, I saw few fish caught but they were very small, most likely; Jack. One was thrown back but not sure about the other. The water was very clear and the water level decreased from last week. I did not see any fish jumping or swiming. Maybe it is too early?
