Decided to try something different this weekend, and headed out to the Green River. Started at Flaming Geyser, throwing spoons and someone else was there drifting corkies, not even a bite. So we moved on Kanaskat/Palmer. Fished for awhile, throwing spoons and drifting worms and ez eggs. Got a few bites caught a little trout/smolt that was released unharmed and hooked into something better that actually took line and fought a bit before coming unpinned.
Watched a guy come down on the other side of the river throwing spoons and pull out a brat before moving further up the river.

Water was clear and cold. We left when groups of people started showing up, almost hooked a kid in the ear, cause for some reason they thought it was good idea to stand directly behind us, and another group was throwing rocks right in the middle of our drift... amazing how rude and inconsiderate people can be...

I couldn't believe it! There was no on there when we got there, and after about an hour of fishing, everyone came out of the woodwork! Throwing huge rocks in the middle of the drift, we asked if they could stop or move (nicely I might ad) and they told us to get lost! Told US to move! We were the first ones there, and actually doing something! They could have thrown rocks in the not so fishable spots, and we probably wouldn't have said anything... It was annoying to say the least. But I guess its what we get for fishing in an area that's not ruled by fisherman haha! You'd never see that happen up at Reiter... those problems are usually taken care of quickly haha!

I understand it's a State Park and that's going to happen, that's why we just left instead of fighting with people. I was just marveling at the overall rudeness and inconsideration by other people nowadays.
Thanks for the tip though, we might go try up there some day this summer

Maybe bring ear plugs next time and imagine the rocks are monsters rolling LOL. At least the river scenery can't be beat...

Haha! I just figured I got some good casting practice! Can never have too much of that right!? And the river was definitely gorgeous! A nice place to spend the day
