7/29/2011 5:56:00 PMSummer steelhead has been terrible this year. I have been out a number of times and nothing. The hatchery has only got 9 summer fish back. I have been fishing that run below the hatchery twice a week for 3 weeks and i have only seen 2 fish roll, had 1 follow my lure, and seen 1 fish landed. Same for upstream at Icy Creek and Palmer, nada.

7/29/2011 9:37:00 PMEven lake fishing for trout has been bad. With the weather so crazy I wonder if it has made a significant impact on all the runs. Thought the pinks would have hit the duwamish by now but still no sign of em in decent numbers.
Flip side went back out this evening and had smolt jumping literally right next to me in the water. Only one hit on my blue/silver spoon. Was going to throw out a rooster tail but couldn't get the trebble hook off.
What's the best time to be out in that area? Thanks!!
