Took a fellow wa. lake member and friend to the Snohomish to see how things are setting up with the Pinks. Got there around 11:00 am. I think the tide was just about at slack tide. First 35 min. or so, nothing was going on. I thought it was going to be one of those days of taking a friend somewhere,,, and oh well.. "Ya, I swear it is good fishing here" Once the tide picked up and on the outgoing flow, the fishing picked up. Throwing Pink Maribou jigs, and pink plasticy hootchie looking crap, I went 4 for 12. Maribou jigs I was using were made with crappy hooks that kept bending, lost a few fish to that. The friend took home 3 also. To me this is a perfect time on the river. On a weekday, mid-day, there is plenty of room, and the fish were happening.
( Ok.. now that I reported on the mild crowd,, the place will get all over run. Shootin' myself in the foot I suppose) Lets just say I was WAY upriver, somewhere near the top of the mountain.

Too bad you had to leave right then - your friend could have gotten his 4th. Just posted my report. I had one in the cooler before you walked out and a 2nd in the cooler before you got to your car! Let me know if you want some of those jigs I showed you.

It sure is crazy out there.... a regular ZOO.... counted 60+ boats a few days ago between Lowell Launch and Stocker-Tressle/Train. Lost count at over 130+ on the banks. Did not see one single fish landed nor spoke to anyone who landed.... We threw everything out... from 3:45pm until 8pm on 16th Aug during incoming-fast tide. Nice review and glad shAt is changing up on the river. It was so backed up at 1st St Snoho launch, we went to Lowell dual-launch, put in instantly, pulled out instantly and parked on rode to avoid paying launch-fee.

Quad- nice to see the rivers producing! Hope the fish are bright enough to give the salt a hearty "PTTTTTHBBBT" or whatever it was Bill The Cat used to spit out (other than hairballs of course).

Glad you did well Chris. It seems like everyone is fishin the rivers some doing well and others getting skunked but not one report has been filed for area 8-2 (shipwreck) yet. I hope to change that this coming week. Thanks for the report.
