Got down on the snoho about 6 AM,To my suprise it wasnt packed with people, I started at the cheapskate, There was already to many people down there, It appreared that the guys that were already there were snagging, No one drifts 2 oz pancake weights with a 12-14 inch leader, Anyway, I left that spot and was on my way to the nature park to walk in ( never tried that). And I stumbled onto a road that Ive driven past so many times , and to my suprise I decided to take it, got right to the river at a spot ive never seen. I grabbed my plunking rod, and my jigging rod, I started by Plunking a 50 50 dick knite.. Right off the bat I hooked up, To my supirse it was a nice bright jack king, about 20 inches, nice football of a fish, But the pinks were not in this area. Saw a few rollers and jumpers in the middle but nothing around me, Fished for 3 hours, with one baby steelhead, and one jack king, and 2 solid bites on spin n glow, I decided enough was enough and took off, The wind was blowing to hard to make it enjoyable anyway,. Couldnt even get my smoke lit :(. So I went up to lewis street, Saw a nice pile of dead carion at the launch and saw no fish jump . Hopefully this rain will bring em in.
