Got to the river about 3:30 PM. Started fishing below the Canery. I had a co-works husband with me. It was his first time on the river and first time fishing in a combat fishery. So started whith a little instruction then off to the water for some fun. Fish were being caught on a regular bases and before long the newbe had his first fish on. Between us we had three good hook ups that self released at our feet. Stayed about 1 1/2 hours and it was starting to get really packed so headed back to the truck and up river. Checked out Aldertown, 116th, McMillon, Puyallup/Carbon junction, Conistoga Rd on the Carbon (no fishing). For the most part all places above Sumner were dead. Didn't see any fish caught, moving or rolling on the upper river.
