Fished from 10am to about 4:30 when the rains started coming down. We tried everything ! Worms, powerbait, ford fenders with rooster tails with wedding rings, without fenders, with worms etc. Nothing.
Flyfishing saved the day. Caught an obviously hatchery-raised 15 incher trolling my "crawdaddy" fly. Also sight-fished to schools of mostly 8 inch brown trout that were working the surface near the weeds. Once in a while there would be keeper within the school. It was kinda exciting to see schools chase your fly on the surface.
Overall, four fish total. Released about 4 more and lost about 6.
