So on my third trip to the Snohomish River I was finally able to get into some fish about 1/2 a mile upstream from the Rotary Launch. Started fishing around 6:30 a.m. and caught my first Pink on my 5th cast. Had my 2nd about 20 minutes later. Lost a big one right at the bank and then had my limit by 8:30 a.m. It was a good thing I decided to wear my hip boots cuz they sure came in handy!
All fish were caught on the same Pink 1/4 oz. Hootchie Jig. The first two without any scent and the last 2 with a squirt of Mike's Shrimp Glo Gel. Shared my spot with a nice gentleman who's son has posted on here a few times but we were so busy enjoying fishing and sharing stories that I didn't even think to ask his name, D'oh!
The best part was that I was finally able to get the skunk smell off of this rod and reel set up that I've been using for the last couple of years. I was beginning to have my doubts about it's ability to catch fish!
