Well, after my 24 pounder last week i didnt think I would get one bigger then that. Well i was wrong, i got a 27 pound hen today ! Wow, what a fight is all I can say. I got out there at about 10 this morning, hooked 2 within my first 20 casts, they both spit it. At about 10:45, WHAM. Fish on, after a nice tough battle, my buddy who netted the fish goes "Holyy s*** junior, this is a big fish ! " . Brought it up, weighed it hit 27! Nice big hen. Wasnt too chrome, it was kinda bronze. But it still had nice meat like a chromer ! After about 4 hours of long realisin 15 fish, i finally got one to the bank. Nothin to brag about, about a 6 pound dark buck. Took it home anyways, not the best meat. I got that one, about 10 minutes before i had to leave for football practice. Used my usual set up-7 ft leader, chartreuse yarn, 3/4 lead. Goin back out tomorrow.! Once i said see ya later to all my buddies, it felt like i was walkin down the red carpet ;
"Alright later Jake, good job with those fish" " See ya jacob, ya did an awesome job" " You did good Junior!" "Hey Jacob, doesnt matter how old you are, you fish just as well as any of us, if not-better! Later" Feels good when fellow fisherman give good compliments like that.
