was a great day, took the little rubber boat and dunked her at maple boat ramp at 6:15
drifted down river then dropped the pick. started plunking and got 2 big males right away, then got a nice hen and my last fish was on the pink jig with a green power bait egg on it. got my limit and the 3 hp and me headed back up river. the ramp was crowded, i was trying to lift my boat in the back of the truck and some jack hole was yelling at all of us , so couple old guys helped me and i thank them , in turn i pulled my back out and sat around thee house all week. all in all was a great day of fishing and most all people i meet fishing are kind and friendly, but once in a while u run across some jack hole u want to cheerfully beat to a pulp.

good to see the Cohos are still beginning a run....about that time! That must be a fun ride in your raft w/ $40,000 Jet-boats racing by at high-speeds and nice wakes! Nice work....

Yo guys thats a pink on top, notice the paper like weak lips and no teeth, along with the sleder body and large tail spots. It does look like a coho because its scales are falling off, but thats because it is a SUPER fresh chrome hen pink. But its not a coho, too similar to the other hen there, just fresher.

Oh and look at how similar the eyes are, coho eyes are different. zoom in on his tail the big tail spots are the give away. Silvers have faint or no spots at all on the tail

i have had this 8 ft achilles for 10 years, i kept it at my 33 ft boat in mexico, it cost so much fuel to run the big boat i fished the rubber boat most the time, ihave been 15 miles out of la salina in this and caught limits of tuna, i have caught mako shark, yellow tail, every rock fish and halibut. with the 3 hp and extra fuel she has always got me home safe, the worse time was the mako shark put some holes in one side and i got home half inflated, i was about 5 miles out. i love my rubber boat , it has been the best boat i have had as far as catching fish, i wouldn,t recomend going out to sea as i have, i was a world class speedway motorcycle racer so i don,t have to many smarts left lol but for those of you with rubber boats it works great on the river, little longer ride back to the dock but it will get you out where you need to be, i have a fish finder, anchor, air horn, life vests and oars. so if you have a peice of shit boat like mine use it to catch fish but remember to have safety gear. i also carry extra fuel as my 3 hp has a small tank. see you on the river today and tomarrow

Good call we just invested in VERY expensive survival suits life raft and Emergency Beacon for fishing offshore in our boat

you have to be safe when offshore, i also had hand held cb radio so i could listen to the weather as you know it can jump up at any time and turn lumpy. also had fares. i know its kinda nuts going that far in a rubber boat but i loved the thrill and the fishing.
