Went to the snoho under the 522 bridge. Lots of people down there, lots of fish being caught. This was my second ever pink salmon attempt. I hooked into my first salmon and fought it for awhile. Unfortunately I hadn't realized my spoon was barbless from the previous excusrion in selective gear waters. Lost that fish, but changed my spoon. By then the bite had died. The 2 guys I was with had landed 1 and 3, so I kept trying and hoping. The day was just about over, the bite had died down. As we are packing up I reel in and hook up. At this point I can barely belive I have a fish on. I was sure I was just snagged. Then WEEEEE as he takes line like crazy! He fought me for awhile, finally landed him. Nice buck ~7 lbs. Not too humped out or beat up. Gonna smoke up nicely!
