Saw the number of fish the hatchery got back last week so my buddy and i shot down to barrier to see what we could do. Got there around 5:30am and rigged up. Made my first cast about 5:50 or so with a bobber & egg setup (set around 8ft). Made a couple cast but is was still too dark to see my bobber very well. Figured i'd make a last cast with the goob of eggs i had on, and next thing i know my rod's try to leave my hands. Fought it for about 5 minutes before it shook the hook. That was about all the action i had today, other a couple of soft bites. Saw 4 other fish landed (all wild) and a couple more lost. Then the bite just shut off. Looked like the water flow was raised a little bit around the same time. There's some fish in the pool, just not really thick yet.
