Welcome to my 100th fishing report. Some have been 1's and others were 5. I was hoping this one was a 5, but a 2 will do.
Hit the Puke this morning from 7-11am. Found a 10-15 ft wide gap on the bank where my girl and I like to fish between other drifters. My first hooked fish of the day was a nice fatty coho. I got it 3 ft from shore when I saw its side. Someone was standing on the bank when I was trying to land it and I lost it because I didnt have enough space to work the fish onto shore.
About an hour after or less, I hook into another coho. This one was barely hooked on the lip. I got this one to shore and I was begging my girl to get a net. She encouraged me to air mail the coho onto the bank which I did. This one was around the 20 inch mark. Punched it on my card and I was happy. Lost two other hook ups halfway to shore the rest of the day. I left when eveyone started showing up and it became a combat zone.
Saw 4 other cohos caught today with numerous pinks. I didnt hook into any pinks today which I thought was odd. Almost got a limit of coho, so it was still a good day.
