Hit the river about 430 this afternoon took both my fly rod and my spinning rod(just in case LOL) I have yet to catch anything on the fly rod worth mentioning til now, hit one of my favorite spots off of Trent and Pitt road, started at the bottom of the ripples with a copper John? (can't remember LOL) worked my way up thru the ripples nothing, then I went to the top waded out about waist deep made a few cast and wham!! Fish on! And it's a decent one rips off line like no tomorrow, then a pause, I start reeling this bad boy in! Just about ready to get the net, it decides to run again, but I win this battle reeled it in to the net this time and boy oh boy I'm hooked on fly fishing now. Ended up catching and releasing 5 fish altogether tonight all about this size. It's been a long bumpy road learning to fly fish but it has finally paid off. My phone would not let me load the pictures, I'll load them tomorrow from my work pc.
