Hit the river this moring out of gardner amd went down to meet a friend. The gardner launch was a zoo. When I got down to where my friend was he lifts up a nice 14lb coho as im pullin up. So I ancor up and get my gear in the water as fast as I could. Within 5min a coho just slams my spinner but didnt hook himself good enough. Then im letting out line and just about to put the pole in the holder when BAM another one. I pick up the pole and begin to real when I felt it come off, it snapped the leader and rolled right behind the boat. It was a nice fish in the mid teens. A little while goes by and my buddy looses a fish and then I got hit again and was able to bring in a nice 8lb buck. After that a couple hit and runs but it died down fast after 10am. I was plunking various spinners that I made.
