No rain for a change so I took the old bass boat out of about a six month retirement and with my fishing buddy, Steve Berg, launched onto Kitsap Lake to test the boat out and also make a few casts. I have always managed to catch a bass or two at Kitsap Lake. Never very many fish but the fish are always good sized. I think the smallest bass I have caught there was about 2 pounds and the largest 7 pounds, 10 ounces. The weather was sunny but cool and breezy. Only two other boats were on the lake and they were fishing for trout. We only hooked one fish but she was a dandy. Four pounds, 12 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. We got a couple photos and released her back where she was caught. Tight lines and remember to practice CPR.
