Hit the Stillaguamish for the second time ever, stopped. I went Thursday, but the water seemed high and super muddy. River looked better today and others thought so too, definitely a few more people on the river. Fished just West of I-5, below the railroad bridge. Had no bites and saw no fish caught. I did see a few beautiful fish jump and one guy had a med size silver on his stinger... thinking if I really want to catch some coho, I should make a trip to the peninsula.

I explored the lower Stilly yesterday, maybe the reason there were no fish caught up towards I-5 is that there were tribal nets all over the lower river. There was one in Silvana that was strung across the channel from bank to bank...I thought they weren't allowed to do that?

wish there was a way to find that out without making the 1+ hr drive from Seattle...

Yeah I drifted the stilly up river to I5 and I was wondering why there weren't too many silvers! I saw the nets down there also, however our luck changed as we fished just above I5 bridge we saw the silvers channelling up river through a slot and OH BOY were they agressive. Any hardware that got in the zone triggered a strike for about an hour. I limited out and caught and released a silver, also I lost about 4 silvers. My fishing partner lost about 4. This all happened in about an hour, then it died down once the school moved up river. I saw the river on thursday riverbound and it was a little high. Friday was more fisheable and saturday was a slam dunk. I went back on saturday morning and I slayed them again but this time I lost 3 silvers that were definately over 15 pounds one had to be 20 pounds. I did manage to land 2 silvers about 10-12 pounds each. Half were a little colored and the other half were dime bright chrome. Oh well, it makes me want to go back and fish it again.

Thanks, Joe! This gives me hope. Had a feeling I should have tried on the other side of I-5. May have to try again tomorrow.
