"First BIG CATCH of the year!!"

Fishing on "hump day" seemed to ring soundly in my head this early morning... I decided to try out Ohop - due to the fact I like to spin cast - with this lake there are various spots to do this while walking along Orville Rd.

Those of you anglers who are familiar with this lake - I was just North of "mile marker" #1. There is a small (two car) pull-out located front and center of the hole I decided to wet my line. The fishermen/women before me have shaved down/out a large log to accommodate seating at this spot.

I've always had tremendous success while fishing with my "top secret lure" - I casted my ultra-light line (2 LB Test) - towards and very tight along the right-hand side of the protruding brush. First Cast - Fish On!! This fish immediately took back for cover under the brush she had came from - I had to carefully "horse" her back out into the open water... After 10 mins of complete bliss and while loosening the drag - I had landed the "BIG ONE"! 4 LB RAINBOW!

PS: I also landed a stocked triploid - with a Neon Green Wedding Ring stuck in her mouth. After carefully removing both hooks from the fish - I let her go to have a chance on a "third catch/release"... But I'll keep - that more then likely opening day - Wedding Ring - big smile! Overall - ten very nice size trout for the day - all with that secret lure!
