I fished from the soccer fields up to hwy 18. I took the wife so I had her fish bobber and jigs. I twitched them. We saw fish rolling and swimming by but thats it. All the silvers were dark and most of the chum already had white spots on them. It has been a long time since I fished the Green and it changed a lot. At hwy 18 we fished down to the log jam. I know that spot as the car body hole. The bank has been eaten back so much and changed around so much We couldn't find any good water, other than down by the log jam.
I included a couple more jigs, They are 1/4 oz. I like to add some chenille or estaz close to head to hold scent. They are on old crappy hooks though. You can see the difference from the new heavy wire sickle hooks. Other pic is from yesterday down on the Puyallup, a huge 2pt. buck walked right up to me, just barely went around me and kept on goin up the river. It is a bad pic but you can see how far out he was.

Thanks again, those are some large jigs. Poor picture or not, I can tell what it is!

Forgot to mention jigs on left are still wet from swimming lessons, so they look a little funky.

Nice work Procaster. I used to tie chenille and estaz into the neck. I tried adding scents too, smelly jellies, lunker lotions etc... Not a good idea if you ask me. Again this might be a tainted experience but scents change the action of the tail and flicker of the feather. All of a sudden your not getting this fluffy bouncing action instead your getting a slicked back hard swing like a stick not that of a feather. Try it out and post the results. I went both ways but found so much more action with the non scented jig I had to give up on that. When you try it both ways always make sure you start with the non-scented jigs first then go into the scented jigs. If you start with scented jigs you never know if a fish saw your presentation and smelled it, waiting and then became interested in the non-scented one because it still has scent in the water. Just my thoughts on the matter. How scientific can you really get with all this ???
