Was packed with people today. I managed to find a spot and had two fish on but only landed one nice one. The highlight of the day was when I fished next to a guy that got pissed off at me for fishing next to him. There was plenty of space. I move up river a bit first cast fish on and landed my limit for the day. Corner of my eye I see him shaking his head. I felt vindicated. A friendly fisherman helped me net my fish which I appreciated. I fished last friday and caught one on eggs. I heard the next day was lights out. Today was not lights out but there were a few peeps with their limit. Combat fishing has its toll but it paid off today.

I like how people get mad when there is other people fishing the spot they found in the Seattle Times Fishing Report or Northwest Sportsman magazine. Probably missed a fish busy getting mad at you for pursuing the fish all of our money payed for, one thing if someone is casing over your line. Nice fish and happy combat fishing.

the guy was also raving about how he just missed a fish and seemed like he thought he was better than anyone else on the river...rule is if there is a rock to stand on you are good to go...also he was standing a foot away from holding water and not fishing where the fish were holding right near the rocks....i had plenty of space drifting my float in that close...i hooked two fish within five feet of a guy that was fishing down from me...the fish literally could have ran between his legs it was that close....thanks for feeling my frustration...i've had plenty of people come right next to me fishing by my shoulder there and it's to be expected just a little friendly chat and makes the fishing more fun....

Gene...I have gotten skunked only one time out of 12 trips. Caught my limit about 7 times that jig in various other colors as well is responsible for 95 percent of my fish caught so far. Remeber it was my first cast I had the fish on. When you know that there are fish right in front of you, if you are not getting a bite in 20 minutes change something either color, size, depth. I have a few favourite jigs but each day a different color has been the producer. I also find Gene that those jigs particularly fish well where we were at. Other areas of the sky you may need larger bigger profile jigs. Generally the higher up in the river the smaller downsized jigs are needed. The other five percent has been on spoons and eggs. Details on the jig matters. I've had the opportunity and time to experiment and my hand made jigs at home catch 3 times more fish than those store bought ones. Soon you will be posting up limits of steelhead on this site. I wanna see your catch;)

Do you have a job? propbably not just using my tax dollars..And therefore you might want to brag to somebody because you might be really cool... or super awesome...good luck fishing futher muckers...

Mother goose- do I have a job? I have a doctorate degree and own my own practice. Hence my own boss and fish on my spare time. Bragging? This is a site to post fishing excursions. I've had a good season. If you dont want to hear great reports dont read them. Were you drunk posting that comment or are you naturally an A hole?

mothergoose has permanently left the building. Not good to post and ignore the terms of service for this web site. I'm sure he'll find another site more to his liking. Should not have caught me at the end of a 10 hr work day when I have zero tolerance...
