Fished again on the skookumchuck, there were lots of fish in the system, they were rolling all over the place but they were not biting like on thursday or saturday. I caught 1 and lost 2 by noon(I arrived at 8) It was dumping snow then sleet then rain. The fish were teasing everyone but at corner hole while I was there, I was the only one to hook into or land any fish. I went to my car to warm up then just got in the car and kept driving. i went to the cowlitz to see if anything was going on. There was 1 bank fisherman when I got there, he had one on the bank when I got there and landed another just after I arrived. He said that a steelhead pushing 20lbs was caught this morning right next to him. I fished for about 3 hours and lost a lot of gear, I casted and caught the bank behind me and spooled all my line out the front of my baitcaster, tried to fix it but my hands were pretty dang cold and not very nimble so I called it quits, there are fish in the cowlitz as well I saw them rolling every 10 or so minutes along the bank but they didnt like what I offered, weather was crummy but what can you expect steelheading, much better than being at work
