Took a trip to the coast last weekend, dug some clams, and went side drifting for big native steelhead with my brother. Friday all the rivers where a beautiful steelhead green, but Saturday, the day we fished, the river was brown and rising slightly. Tough conditions but I didn't drive from Monroe to the coast not to try. So I up sized to a 1/0 hook and two smallish chartreus corkies tipped with fresh dug sandshrimp. We ended up with 3 takedowns with one fish landed not the monster I hoped for but a good solid 15 pound hen. The week before my dad caught a 24 pounder wich is what lured me to the coast. I want to attach a picture but this smartphone won't let me
