Beautiful day to be out and on the water (anywhere, might I add). Got to the river just before sunrise and headed to just below the corner hole. First cast: bouncing bottom, bouncing bottom, bouncing bottom, head shake....Wait! Headshake! I didn't have any coffee so I was half asleep :) Set the hook ASAP and had a fish on. Fought very well for a darker fish. Didn't want to keep it, so back in the drink it went. Proceeded to hook into 4 and land 2 of those after that. Moved up above the concrete pad and tried some bobber and jig fishing! Way more entertaining hooking fish when that bobber goes under! 5ft under with a 1/8th nightmare and some shrimp scent hooked me into about a 6 lb native! Two natives out of that river for me so far this year! Ended my day on that good note at about 10 AM and headed over to our family friend's property just outside of Yelm and had a great rest of the day with friends! I even won a mini-shopvac during a white elephant gift session. Great day!

White Elephant Gift Session is when a group of people get together, they each bring a small gift. It can be anything from a whoopie cushion to a package of scone mix. All the gifts are piled up and everyone draws a number. First person to go is number 1 they pick a gift and open. Next person has the choice to steal number 1's gift or pick a new gift. If they steal the prior gift, the other person gets to open a new gift. This goes on until all the gifts are open and everyone has one.
