5/14/2012 9:56:00 PMgotta use something as close as possible to what their feeding on, a VERY small fly. also, in a river, you gotta make sure your line isnt keeping your fly from drifting naturally, its difficult, but if you stand below the fish and cast up, you should get a good drift, cast above where they rise and let your lil dry come right over um, if they dont take, theyre too smart!

5/14/2012 10:24:00 PMThanks for that, I will try a smaller fly next time....You're right about keeping the drift natural, it's hard mending the line being I don't know how to do it properly. Lol it's a lot easier getting a natural drift with a baitcaster. I do feel like they're outsmarting the people fishing out there though, pretty sure the three fish I hooked was pure luck! Ha!
