Alrighty then... we fished the mighty Sol Duc yesterday arriving at Whitcomb-dimmel about 9am. The water looked great and we saw a nice bright king jump sky high right away. I started with eggs under a bobber and my friend was drifting a pink worm. A few fish were splashing but they looked small, sockeye maybe? After 3 hours only one take down on a jig. So we packed up and drove to the rayonier bridge(pic) and luckily no one was there! On the third cast I get something on but knew it was small and it turned out to be a rainbow maybe 12", took a pic and let it go. Hours passed and nothing happened so we decided to try the hatchery on the way home. Two guys unloading their boat had 2 dime bright fish but I was too far away to see the species. We spent another hour in front of the pump station but still couldn't get anything on the beach... There's some fish there but they were lock jawwed today. Oh well, at least the weather was nice! Its a "2" day because of frugals in Port Angeles. Awesome.
