i fished from about 3 till dark various spots on the river from reiter down to the sultan tried different methods plunking, corkie, float, slow day didnt see any other fish caught than mine untill just before dark. does anyone know why the egg scanes on the steelhead are so small are the fish coming in early and hanging out till there ready?

It's because they don't spawn until fall. So they aren't fully mature yet..

Steelhead eggs are typically smaller then salmon eggs. Don't think it matters if they're fully mature or not...Correct me if I'm wrong though.
