Put in at Sultan at about 5:30am. Just enough light to see a number of Kings rolling right out front. There were a few other driftboats and one sled (guide) that launched. From what I could see, all of us in drift boats were either running bait/diver or float fishing. I fished that section for about an hour and a half. Had one hook-up that I unfortunately broke off at the boat. After the fog burned off and the sun hit the water they hunkered down so I headed down river to look for steelhead. I hooked up with a small hatchery hen about two hours later on a #2 vibrax spinner (blue body/black blade). Once the heat of the day took over and the tubers came out, the fishing got a little more challenging. All in all a nice day on the water. Sorry no photos, I pulled out my camera to find that I had left the memory card in the pc at home...
Also, just to note, please be cautious at the launch. I've seen a few vehicles get stuck recently due to the low water. Easy launch for most drift boats, but can be challenging for sleds since they have to drive farther out into the muck.
