I arrived to the lake around 9:00am. I launched the boat and was wetting a line by 9:20am. The traffic on the lake was moderate provided it was opening weekend for trout. I trolled around the lake one good time while waiting for a buddy to arrive on a nearby dock but no hits...It was to late in the morning for trolling I guess. I picked up my buddy on the dock and glanced at my watch and it was 10:05am. We started fishing with power bait and caught about five 8 to 10 inchers almost back to back. We called it a honey hole and fished till 12:30 or so... lets just say we could have kept our limit, but decided not to....that including the lunker of 18" my buddy Matt hauled in. The most important thing is we had a great time and this time we went catching instead of fishing!
