Hadn't been to the river in three days, thanks to house hunting. Made my way down to the river after work and started fishin at about 4:30. It was very, very slow. Fished and B.S'd for about 2.5 hours with out a bite.
I keep tellin everyone around me that some one needs to atleast roll a fish, and the guy right next to me finally hooked into a fish! Unfortunately, someone had already crossed his line and his fish came unhooked. Bummer. Less than 10 minutes later, I'm feelin something fishy is about to happen and "rock, rock, fish...hookset!"
Fish on! Of course, the guys below me continue to cast over my line and like usual, one gets wrapped up around my line and fish. Luckily, he was cool and followed me down instead of sitting there fighting the tugs like some dumb people do. Had to steer the fish through the crowd and to the bank. It was a smaller silver ~5 lbs. Bonked it and tagged it and started cutting the mess of line off.
5 minutes later, I'm all tied up again and back to fishing. Then, I go to walk back up to the spot I was standing in and its got someone in it. So, I walk up there and squeeze in. 3 casts later, I hook into another fish for about 10 seconds and it came un-buttoned. Didn't touch anything after that and fished til sunset.
