I wrote a massive report just now and then erased it because no one would believe it anyways. So I will leave it short and simple.

I caught some fish today. I lost some fish today. I fell in the river, might have ruined my cell phone and I am sitting at work pretty wet still annoyed by everyone that asks why I am soaked.

I lost 3 blue fox spinners, 4 jigs and probably every ounce of patience I have with myself. I learned 3 lessons.

1. Change your line out after steelhead season. Because a Coho in the mid teens is going to lay waste to 8lb line, you might think you can work a big fish in, and you might get lucky, but you don't deserve to.

2. Bring a net, because although you have been banking fish just fine those big fish don't play nice or fair, the rocks are slick and you deserve to take a swim if you don't bring the right gear.

3. Don't keep your cellphone in your pocket. Yea everyone loves photos of fish, I might be the most guilty, but if you have broken the two rules above your just going to be more angry.

And finally This might have been my best day of fishing yet this year. I have yet to hook up with more fish, and oddly enough big silvers in the green. I will be back tomorrow with 12lb line a net and from now on I am keeping a towel in my car. PS I can't wait to read other reports because I am sure this was happening all over the river today.
