My first time back to the quilcene after the banks lake trip. Started at about 9am as the high tide was at 7:30. I walked up to my usual spot passing by more chum than I've ever seen on this river before. A thousand or so??? every stinkin hole is packed full of 'em. Not long after my optimism soon depleted as I wandered around forever trying to spot some chrome. At the half way hole another guy had caught 3 but he ofcourse was using the typical snagging set up. So now Im really doubtful I'll find anything.
I didn't stay long, when the chum are in the silvers are few and far between. Although right above the linger longer bridge there is a stack of 300 - 500 just sittin there waiting... for what? rain? a holiday? all the chum to die off? Who knows.
