Hit the Skagit for the 1st time today with Danny from River Chrome Guide Service and what a great day!!!
I drove over from Spokane and met up with Danny in the AM hopped in his truck and away we went. Not going to say much about the area or time we fished (it is a secret I will never let out) but he put me on the fish, got a nice chrome coho the first drift. This guy is a top notched guide and I will do business with him again. We walked out with limits of very nice silvers in about 1.5 hours actual fishing time and that included waiting for his buddy to get his limit as well. I spent 3 days fishing different rivers from the Cowlitz to the Skagit and will be back soon. Nailed a 20 lb dark nook on the Cowlitz and finally got to see what that is all about. Got all of the fish fillets vaccum packed and off to work in the morning.I also want to note the photos came out a bit dark, all of the fish had bright red meat, one was just a bit lighter than the others so that will be the smoker fish.
