Off work early Monday, so drove south to Tukwila to try the Green... again!!! Fished just west of I-5 bridge. Arrived at about 2:30PM... tide on way out (high at 12:30ish). A bit surprised at the number of fish I saw rolling, and launching out of the water in the first two hours... some were chrome, some with a bit of color, and some very dark. Started off with a marabu jig that I had added some mylar flash to... had one fish follow to the shore. Tried several colors of Blue Fox, nada... then a 1/2 & 1/2 Dick Nite... had a solid hit on that, short run, couple of head shakes and the hookless barb... barbless hook came off! Had another follow to the beach, but the fish are really closed lipped. Saw several other fishermen, most stayed for a dozen casts then left... couple voiced their displeasure at a variety of things... especially the lack of a bite! Left the river about 6:00. By the way, if you fish that area, try the BBQ shack just beside the Union 76... great pulled pork sandwich... and the yams are to die for!!!! PTL!
