The day was a "1" for being skunked. I hit fairly well from Sultan Mouth on south-side bar to Goldbar, then back to check Wallace.Ran into a guy who said it was worthless/saw nobody catching either. Then I headed to Thomas' Eddy. Once there, I saw the ONLY action from KC and his brother-in-law. They were drop-shot rigging DickNites & very friendly.

To sm it up, I drifted all sorts of patterns, used eggs, various corkies, yarnies, spinners, etc. I quit counting at somewhere better than a few dozen people, also, not catching or hooking anything up in the swath of places. Everyone was in great sprits though. The Goldbar USGS was reading at ~8900cfps. water was actually fairly decent, just high. For a day, i would say a 5-star due to such nice folks everywhere...fishing though...OUCH, 1-star.

Was there any fish in the wallace at all? By Saturday it should be good! What part of the wallace did u check?

Fishingboy, actually stopped at the Wallace Hatchery to check on way back down the water was a bit to dirty to see much. there was spunky-action at the gates and a few morts clinging to life in the pod. I wouldnt complain about the clarity of water due to the amt of the...uh, RAINfall! Reckon should be nice once the foothills drain out. I like the lack of clarity though in the water. nice to have NW rivers back!

Certainly expected the fishing to pick up with the rainfall. Will be interesting to see how the reports do over the next couple weeks. It seems like there are less people fishing where I hit the Green now, so maybe there will be less pressure on what remains of the run. IDK. TL.
