Got off work a little early today, so I finally had a chance to hit the Green. Went to beachy area North of 8th st. Tried a pink Blue Fox and then some jigs. Saw lots of fish but did not get any bites. As I showed up a guy was leaving that had been fishing shrimp with no luck either. The fish I saw jumping had lots of color to them including a fire engine red male. Only had about an hour before I had to head home. I did manage to bring in a snagged branch with some other gear so that was nice to get out of the river I guess, But one thing I noticed is that when my reel is loaded up it feels loose and rocks back and fourth on the rod. Its a abu garcia ambassadeur 5000 on a shimano rod. Are some rod and reels not a good match? I did check that it was tight :)
