I am a little late in reporting this, but my son Daniel and I went out with Danny of River Chrome Guide Service. He was amazingly skilled and fun to be with, even on a day when the river was low and it had not rained for days and days. Got up in Seattle at 2:30am to meet up with him at 4:30am in North Burlington and then we were off in his truck to the Cascade River. Hiked in the darkness and made our first cast just as the light began to come up. Within minutes Daniel was onto a beautiful Coho, landing three in total, before the sun came up and kept them from biting. From there we went to the Samish for Kings and had a terrific time wrestling three of those monsters into the net. Came home with 6 wonderful fish and had a terrific time. I would highly recommend a trip with Danny if you want to come home with some nice fish, learn a lot and have a blast.
