Finally got a chance to go to the Wallace today but didn`t get there until 4:30. A guy at the hatchery walked out with a chromer and saw another guy with some fire trucks on the bank. It wa kind of crowded so decided to make my way down to the cedar hole. Couple of guys were there already reported only a couple seen here and there. Aparently Saturday was the day to be there.I think most of them dropped downstream into the lower river or the sky in wait of more rain (the water was a little low). Moved downstream some more and proceded to lose my spinner. Put on a gob of eggs on my float rod and found out the stupid store-bought eggs lost their color after a couple casts (I need a hen!). Switched out in favor of an orange maxi jig with "salmon feast" scent. Worked my way down to the bridge without sucess and called it quits when I got there as it was getting dark and I forgot my rain gear in the car.
p.s.-I saw some guys walking out through clearly posted private property (like the sign was 2 feet away from them). Please don't do this. It can make property owners so mad and will only come back to hurt you and/or other anglers.
