Well, been a while since I been out, Been working quite a bit with coworkers calling in sick. So last night I decided to go out to the green in the morning instead of the skokomish even with the promising signs on the skok. My friend went on monday morning and bagged some chums. Morning came and off to the green I went. got there around 8ish, the tide was coming in but the water was still low. I got my eggs tied on cut and fired up a nice cigar and started to fish. Lots of rollers and jumpers all around. fish for 1/2 an hour and nothing. What is going on? well The fish were moving closer and closer to my area. And I saw it. All those jumpers were fish a little bigger than a foot in length. I guess that last push of silvers coming up are jacks.
20 minutes later, no bites. Then I switched to jigs, Nothing. The good thing about today. I recently got rid of my izorline because it was really stiff and didnt work to well in my okuma trio. Switched over to p line cxx hi vis, works much better.
River was a ghost town. I left around 930, as I was walking out. I saw a fighting rooster. Dunno why, but my mouth started to water as I was craving some free range chicken :). Got about 2 feet from it but the rooster wouldn't let me get closer.
And that was the highlight of my day.
