I've been following this site for a bit, and now it's my turn to give back. It had been a while since I have made the voyage from Issaquah over to good ol' Rock Ford. I left Issy at 11:00a and was on the water @ 1:30p. I expected because it was a Tuesday that there would be nobody on that river.. but that wasn’t the case.. oh well. Time to meet new people. Walked up to the spot that produced for me last time and there were some gents fishing it so I moved down a bit. As I was getting set up guy next to me landed a huge fat 24 incher on a nymph. I decided to use this big fat minnow streamer I had just acquired. Two casts in and it was gone, I must have F#@$% up the knot when I was tying it in a rush. Oh well, on too dry fly’s. Spent the next two hours slinging dry and nymphs, scuds, and wet. Nothing. Toward the end I decided to switch top this big heavy white streamer, three cast in and BAM.... huge trout, it had been so long since I had caught a huge fish I freaking grabbed my line and poof it was gone. I saw it jump up twice trying to spit my streamer. All in all still a good day.
