I headed down to see if the water had cleared up enough to start twitchin jigs. The visibilty is about 1.5 ft. I started by the treatment plant and worked my way down river. I saw a couple roll in first hole and had one on just long enought for a head shake. A few holes later I hooked another one and lost that one also, when I set a second time it pulled the hook out as it was running up river. I casted right back to the same spot and and had one just about rip my pole from my hand. I have caught about a million pinks and a fair amount of silvers on jigs, but usually, when u lift pole up there is just the weight of the fish. That one pulled my pole down like it was in a pole holder trolling. Unfortunatley when I set the line broke(8lb p-line). At least it was a small buck about 4 lbs. and already turning red. It kept jumping trying to shake the jig the rest of the time I fished the hole. The only fish I could land was a small cut.
On the way back to car, I fished one more spot and watched a small silver chase my jig almost all the way up on to the bank when I was reeling in. that fish was only about 2 0r 3 lbs.
I changed my user name from procaster due to password issues. If you want to look at the jigs I tie look up my old reports, plus I need to tie up a bunch more because I lose so many in the rocks. I will post a picture on next report.
