Had a surprisingly amazing day on the Duwamish River near the I-5 bridge where it turns into the Green. Drove past all the nets, as I always do, which never fails to lower my expectations. Got to the river and the fish were jumping modestly. Started free twitching jigs, wasn't getting the feeling I wanted. So I switched to my trusty Mepps Flying-C 5/8 oz chartreuse lure, which I have had amazing luck this year with coho. Third cast, bam. Landed the big guy. After that, second cast, bam. Landed the hen. Probably was at the river for about an hour and landed these two nice coho before heading home. Not a bad day on the river and its nice to know THEY ARE STILL BITING! Tight Lines!
