Hit the river under I 5 about 415. Saw more fishermen than I have over the last week or so, which I took to be a good sign. Got down to the water and started twitching with a new pattern I had devised the night before, with its mix of char, and purple it earned the title 'chum dumb'. Saw a few fish rolling nothing like previous nights though, but probably a dozen casts in hooked myself a nice little hen silver. Got the hook out of her and she flopped back into the river and swam on before I could make any decisions for myself. Made a couple more casts and packed up to take care of some chores at home. Consider it a good day though first salmon on a jig and only out of the truck for 45 minutes.
