Fished down stream of the highway bridge as the hatchery and upstream of the bridge looked like combat fishing. Found a bit of structure and a few Silvers stacked below...along with several Chums bull dogging around a larger pool. Fished a hand tied Jig, Chartreuse and Black, and landed a nice bright hatchery hen who hit the jig almost immediately after it hit the water.
Had to be in to work...but couldn't stop fishing..."one more cast" then got into a great tug of war with a huge Chum that gave me a nice long fight...constantly turning to run under the structure. Released Big Nasty as you can't retain on the Wallace, was late into work...but well worth it.
