Got to my favorite hole this morning and to my surprise only a couple guys there. So I got out my drift gear, I only do this when its not crowded, otherwise my casts would be out of synch with the float fisherman wich is how most fish here. Red corkies and black yarn has been my go-to setup for coho this year and it didn't disappoint today. Threw on some old crusty humpy eggs left from last year and bang! Hooked a nice chromer it rolled a few times and came off @#$%! Keep fishing a while and nothing. Switch over to my float rod and second cast bobber down! Landed a nice 5lb hen that wasn't too colored up. Caught another fire truck buck on my way back to the car so all in all a pretty good day got some fish for dinner and some eggs to cure up. And still have time to catch the beginning of the hawks game.
