Still pretty slow I fished around 116th st hole again. I lost one due to a poor knot right away up above everyone. Then, later I caught a nice cutthroat about 14" later way down the river. There were 2 drift boats and two pontoon boats and lots of people and no fish. My friend talked to a guy who said he fished all day Saturday and only saw one silver caught.
unfortunatley, with the rain, the river jumped a foot over night so who knows when it will be good again. It still seem that straight purple or blue and pink are the best colors.
I always cover a lot of water. All the fish I hook, are right away in a hole. I never stand there for an hour then start hitting fish. I think of it kinda like "power fishing" for bass where you run around looking for the agressive fish. Also, I walked up a creek that fills with chum and did'nt see one fish, so I hope they are on the way up river still.
Almost forgot, I have been trying to film myself, but the video is kinda grainy and I am trying to edit. It would be cool if I could get a fish on video also. It is a pain with all the set up just to erase hours of video. I know I could get good video of steelhead but that will give up my secret spots, so I am still trying to decide how to film that.
