Got to the pond 2 about 5pm sun me and momma found a spot on the south west side of lake nice bank spot threw in pink power bait and sat down for a dinner sub sandwich.not more than ten or so minutes into the lake momma gets a strike like the biggest fish weve seen this season if she hadn't got to her pole in time would have been pulled in the pond no kidding swear to the great spirit above.the fish jumped about 3 feet out broadside to us looked like an enlarged longated football.good lord what do they have in this pond? first time here, fish looked like a 7lb steelhead, .needless to say herman as we called him spit out the hook too small obviously size 8,we were like speechless for the next ten minutes sept for her telling me we need bigger hooks,wow fished for 2 more hours with no better results will be coming back what a memory of the biggest one that got away.researching this little pond.tight lines to all.
